Andrew first qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in 1987, then completed a conversion course following which he passed the Law Society Final Examinations and was admitted as a solicitor in December 1993. He was admitted as Member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners in 1994 which is a specialist qualification for Private Client work. He joined the firm in 1996 and became the Senior Partner in January 2013.
Andrew specialises in Company and Commercial matters including Commercial Property and Litigation. He has significant Agricultural expertise and is regularly instructed by farmers in relation to agricultural holdings, option agreements, diversification and renewable energy projects.
He acts as a non-executive director to several of his clients who have both UK and International interests.
His current clients include Leicester Football Club PLC (Leicester Tigers) acting for both the Club and individual players, Leicester Wholesale Fruit Market, Cambridge and Counties Bank in their security work as a panel approved solicitor, as well as range of SMEs. He has experience and dealings with SIPP and SSAS pension fund transfers for his SME clients. He has been recognised for his agricultural expertise through the firm’s appointment as NFU Panel solicitors for Leicestershire Northamptonshire and Rutland.
He has been instrumental in the setting up of a number of charities whom he not only advises as to their duties and the law but also in some cases acts as one of the trustees. He is fully conversant with the Charities Act requirements in relation to property transactions.
