Josiah Hincks Solicitors in Leicestershire have raised over £223,250 in future income as part of Free Wills Month in October 2013.
Free Wills Month brings together a group of well respected charities to offer members of the public aged 55 and over the opportunity to have their simple Wills written or updated free of charge by using participating solicitors in selected locations around England.
Josiah Hincks Solicitors have been proud to be a part of Free Wills Month for several years now and provide the free wills at each of its four offices across the County.
Charities such as RNLI Lifeboats, Guide Dogs, WWF, Great Ormond Street, The Salvation Army and The British Heart Foundation will benefit from £220,000 of additional income as a result of people making Wills and making gifts to the charities.
During Free Wills Month, drafting of simple Wills is free and there is no obligation on the client to make any donations at all.
Andrew Eagle, Senior Partner, said: “We are delighted that we can help the Free Wills Months charities to such a huge extent. Everyone should have a Will and the initiative cuts out cost as an obstacle to people getting a Will. The fact that our clients have been so generous is a real testament to the people of Leicester”.
